Overview

A zone and an aisle set where the player currently is inside the store for a /v1alpha2/ads request, matched against flights that target the venue taxonomy. Together they are the third inline audience signal, alongside demographics (seg) and products (products).

Send them from a moving player — a handheld or cart-mounted device whose position changes between requests. A fixed screen carries its position in its inventory record instead (see Venue, zones and aisles) and never sends these parameters.

The shared rules for inline signals are described under When signals apply: online only (rejected 400 with offline=true), per-facet replace of stored context, and orthogonality to dvactid. For this facet, “stored” means the device’s own configured placement: an inline position replaces it for the request, and the other facets are unaffected.

The store itself is not part of this signal — it comes from the device’s location, which a handheld carries like any other device. Only the position within that store varies per request.

For how to build the values, see SENSOR_LOCATION.
